Membership in the Mississippi Press Association is divided into four main classes. Prospective members apply to the Association and remit all necessary fees before their application is considered. Applications are reviewed during quarterly meetings of the MPA Membership Committee which makes recommendations for final approval to the Board of Directors. To apply for any class of membership, click on the links below to download an application and return it by the following quarterly deadlines for consideration at the next regularly scheduled meeting of the Membership Committee: March 31, May 31, Sept. 30 or Dec. 31.
PLEASE NOTE: Online and digital news publications are not currently accepted for Full Active, Affiliate or Extra-Regional membership in the Association.

By-laws. Newspapers meeting all criteria and which have been publishing at least weekly for at least one full year (12 months) may apply to the Association for membership. Membership entitles the newspaper to participate in a host of MPA programs,
including advertising representation, conferences, annual internships, contests, the legal hotline and more. Download a membership application for MPA Full Active
Membership or click here to learn more about Member Benefits.
