Robert St. John
Famed restauranteur, author, and newspaper columnist
Robert St. John will be roasted Sept. 11 in Jackson as a benefit for the Mississippi Press Foundation.
St. John has authored 14 books and has written a weekly syndicated column for the past 25 years. He has built a reputation in Mississippi and beyond for his evocative storytelling, rich with Southern charm and warmth. His columns and books frequently explore themes of family, community, and the joys of good food, resonating with readers who appreciate his ability to capture the essence of Southern life.
He has been in the restaurant business for 43 years, 37 years as an owner. He currently owns six restaurants.
The event will be held at the Hilton Jackson and ticket sales will begin in June. Proceeds will benefit the summer internship program of MPF.
