The local revenue conference is Jan. 26-27

Improving your sales efforts and finding new streams of revenue are topics not to miss at the annual MPA Midwinter Conference, Jan. 26-27, 2018, at the Hilton Jackson.

Nationally renowned speaker Ryan Dohrn is the keynote presenter for this year's event, which also includes the traditional Silver Dollar Idea Breakfast Exchange and Better Newspaper Contest Awards Luncheon. Sessions for sales reps new to the newspaper profession – or anyone who just wants a refresher – are planned, as well as panel discussions on niche products and magazines, event marketing, digital revenue streams, and more.

Dorhn is the principal of Brain Swell Media and is the creator of the Selling Backwards and 360 Ad Sales System used by thousands of sales executives around the world. He has helped companies build over $500 million in sales revenues, overseen nearly 2,000 web site builds and has been hired as a professional business speaker for scores of national, regional and state trade groups. He recently covered the advertising and revenue track during the MPA-LPA Joint Convention in Biloxi.

Friday evening’s reception will include another Wine Pull benefit for the MPA Foundation.

Registration for the event will open in November. Further details on hotel reservations and the agenda will arrive soon by mail and email.

The event will be preceded by the annual Celebrity Roast to benefit the MPA Education Foundation, this year honoring Mississippi Attorney General Jim Hood.
