After 57 years of ownership by the Webb family, The Franklin Advocate has been sold to Keane Media, Inc.

Sisters Marsha Webb and Heather Webb Jacobs officially sold the paper to new owners Paul and Doris Keane on Friday, July 19. Lewis Floyd, Senior Associate, with Grimes, McGovern & Associates represented the seller and worked with both parties for a smooth transfer.

"We look forward to continuing and building upon the tradition established by the Webb family during their long ownership of the paper," said Paul Keane. "We also look forward to serving the people of Franklin County with a product they can be proud of while also expanding some of the other services available."

Keane is a past president of MPA and currently serves as Chairman of the MPA Education Foundation.
