Land of Plenty

A depth report from the Meek School of Journalism & New Media

This in-depth package of stories on the Delta food culture was produced by students at the Meek School of Journalism & New Media at the University of Mississippi.  They spent their spring break reporting throughout the Delta and have generated two dozen stories available for use in MPA member publications. The students' work will also be published this fall in a magazine, Land of Plenty.  Last year, students produced a similar package of stories on the record 2011 Mississippi River flood, traveling from Memphis to New Orleans in their reporting. Editors with questions about the series may call Bill Rose at 561-385-6797 for assistance. If you encounter problems with downloading copy or photos, contact Layne Bruce at MPA.

Photos can be downloaded from the MPA Flickr page via the links provided below. On the Flickr page, cutlines will be located beneath the photos. To download a photo, click on the leaders (•••) in the bottom right corner of each photo file page, then select "View All Sizes" and download the file size of your choice.
