The right candidate will be part of a 3-person sports staff covering 22 high schools and three junior colleges that contend for championships in every sport. There will also be opportunities to cover Ole Miss, Mississippi State and Southern Miss. The candidate must be self-motivated with excellent time management skills. for the right candidate to fill in the third position in the sports
department. The ideal candidate will have sports knowledge, be able
to work on tight deadlines and layout the sports section up to five
nights a week. Ideal candidates will have excellent design skills,
good copy-editing skills and an awareness of deadline.  The Meridian
