The Northeast Mississippi Daily Journal — a locally owned, award-winning 35,000-circulation daily newspaper in Tupelo — is seeking a copy editor/page designer with excellent design and word skills, sound news judgment, knowledge of AP style and a mastery of headline writing. Should be familiar with QuarkXpress and Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator. Schedule will include night and weekend work. We are a fast-paced, deadline-oriented copy desk with the production of the daily paper in addition to four weekly papers, special sections and magazines. Production & Presentation Dept. Operator, Vicksburg Post, Vicksburg, MS

The Vicksburg Post is seeking an experienced operator to work in the production and presentation department, designing pages, working with editors, pressmen and other departments on the timely design and production of the daily newspaper. Strong computer skills, creativity and a willingness to work with others are imperative. Some weekend work is required.

The desk uses Photoshop, Indesign, NewsEdit and the Internet.

The Post publishes afternoons Monday-Friday and mornings on Saturday and Sunday, as well as on the web.
