The Picayune Item is seeking a Lifestyles Editor
The Picayune Item has an immediate opening for a Lifestyles Editor. The ideal candidate will have a journalism or related degree, 2 to 3 years experience as a reporter or lifestyles editor, good layout and design skills and an ability to connect with the local community. Will be responsible for producing a 3 to 4 page section two days a week as well as covering school board meetings once a week. Other work as assigned by the managing editor. The Picayune Item, 5,000, circulation, is published Tuesday through Friday and Sunday. Owned by CNHI, the Item offers a full slate of benefits including health, dental, vision, earned vacation, sick days and personal days.
