The Laurel Leader-Call in Laurel, Miss., a 7,000-plus circulation,
seven-day-per-week daily in the beautiful Pine Belt of South
Mississippi, is seeking an experienced, innovative, news editor. This
key position is responsible for helping to lead a veteran news staff,
while also being able to multi-task in the daily production of the
newspaper. The news editor is also required to be a reporter,
performing duties that include writing obituaries to interviewing the
governor. Quark skills are a must as the news editor also alternates
weekends with the managing editor in the production of the newspaper.
