He was a longtime editor at The Commercial Appeal and a grad assistant at Mississippi State University… Brandon Walker of West Point has been named the new assistant sports editor of The Meridian Star. Walker previously served as the sports editor of the Daily Times Leader in West Point and worked as a reporter for the Starkville Daily News…Former Winona Times publisher Steven G. Watson has returned to the Madison County Journal as associate editor. Watson previously worked for both the Journal and sister newspaper Neshoba Democrat.
