Institute has one Mac spot open! October 11-13

The Institute of Newspaper Technology has let me know they’ve had one spot become available for the Mac platform.
The Institute of Newspaper Technology will offer classes in InDesign, QuarkXpress, Photoshop, InCopy, Dreamweaver, Video on the Web, Dreamweaver, PDF Troubleshooting and much more!

MacBook, MacBook Pro Software Update 1.0

If you have a new MacBook or MacBook Pro you should check Software Update.

Apple has just released MacBook, MacBook Pro Software Update 1.0 which corrects an issue with Journaling on those machines. This update simply enables Journaling on your Startup volume if it had been left off at the factory.

Office 2008 pricing for Mac

According to tuaw.com, the pricing for 2008 Office for Mac will be:

  • Microsoft Office 2008 for the Mac: This is the one most of us use, which includes Word, Excel, Powerpoint, and Entourage. Pricing is for $399.95 for the full retail version and $239.95 for an upgrade.
  • Microsoft Office for the Mac Home and Student Edition: This version does not support Exchange for Entourage, but could still be used by many small offices. This edition only comes in the full retail flavor for $149.95.
