Room block open for summer convention
The room block is now open for reservations at the Beau Rivage Resort in Biloxi for the 143d Annual MPA Summer Convention.
The event will be held June 18-20. The press association room rates of $139 (Wednsday and Thursday) and $179 (Friday and Saturday) are available through June 1, 2009. Call 1-228-386-7444 or register online here.
Confirmed speakers thus far for the convention include Ole Miss Department of Journalism chair Dr. Samir Husni, Mississippi State Auditor Stacy Pickering and design and content consultant Ed Henninger. A complete agenda with more information on programs and speakers will be mailed to members in April.
